Dr. Lai’s primary goal is to achieve maximal restoration of physical, psychological, social and vocational function through comprehensive rehabilitation. Dr. Lai’s professional interests include sports injury treatments, interventional pain management, neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, electro-diagnostics a other pain treatments. His approach to caring is based on improvements in quality of life through improvements in function. Dr. Lai understands that physicians today must have superb clinical expertise, plus an understanding of business advocacy systems to help patients access the insurance, medical care, and the support required when facing an injury in order to help people improve their quality of life.
Dr. Neil Ghodadra
Dr. Ghodadra has a unique background that includes extensive training and expertise in cartilage restoration of the knee and joint preserving osteotomies, as well as treatment of complex shoulder conditions, ranging from shoulder instability and rotator cuff repair surgery to shoulder replacement surgery. He is well known for his surgical skill and his devotion to teaching and innovation in orthopedic surgery. He has authored over 65 textbook chapters and journal articles. Topics include: cartilage restoration, shoulder instability repair, rotator cuff repair, ACL repair and shoulder reconstruction. His work has been presented at more than 70 conferences throughout the world, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons where he won the award for best Scientific Exhibit for his work in shoulder instability in athletes. Dr. Ghodadra was instrumental in developing a landmark technique for patients with recurrent shoulder instability. He assisted the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago White Sox (MLB). He also served other sports teams, including multiple semi-professional, university and high school teams in football, hockey and gymnastics.
Michelle Conover, Ph.D
Dr. Michelle Conover is a licensed psychologist and Q.M.E., trained at Pacifica, Fielding and UCLA. She specializes in clinical and forensic neuropsychology with particular training and experience with traumatic head injury and neurodegenerative diseases. She has worked with children, adults and geriatric populations as well as specific populations such as professional athletes and criminal offenders. Dr. Conover has treated individuals with TBI, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, learning difficulties, stroke, addiction and other complicating diseases such as Alzheimer’s. She is the clinical director and owner of Southern California Neuropsychology Group (www.socalnpg.com) in Woodland Hills, CA where she provides neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, psychotherapy and performance enhancement training for athletes. In addition, Dr. Conover is the creator of Dream Big Career Assessments (www.thedbcc.org) where her innovative and scientific approach of linking interests, brain functioning and personality patterns has optimized career success.
